The Grand River flows through Grand Rapids. Usually you’ll see photos looking down on the river from the bridges and air. I wanted to show you something different. Downtown, along the river, there is this wonderful boardwalk that goes for quite a distance, I love to walk along the river here. This bridge is the huge walkway that leads to the Gerald R. Ford Museum.
When I discovered Dogwood Avenue in Ada, I thought the people who lived on that street were the luckiest in the world. Not their cars though, because this is a dirt road. Imagine having this in your side yard.
This historic covered bridge provides a walkway over the Thornapple River in Ada. There is a nearby ball diamond and my favorite resale shop, Georgie’s, is just beyond that. I’ll have a lot more photos of Ada soon, I love Ada. Heck, you know that, because by now you know I love everywhere I put on this Blog. I’ll put a google map link to this location tomorrow.
I took this photo in Lowell late in the day, just as the sun was setting. I was facing main street, with the Lowell Showboat off in the distance. I love the beautiful river running through town and everything that comes with it, like the ducks and riverwalk. When I was taking this photo, there was a cute little girl feeding the ducks, which just made them crazy with joy.
I heard about this beautiful tree lined street from the staff at the Blue Slipper Pub (photos and link coming soon.) They told me that this is where a lot of wedding parties go to get their photos taken. I can see why! The street is between Onekema and Manistee, I’ll add a google map link to the exact location next week when I get caught up on the map links.
This cute little guy was rollerblading with his friends along the boardwalk in Manistee when they saw me taking pictures, stopped and politely watched me shoot away. So of course I had to chat and get to know them. Kenny offered to let me take his picture while he was skating. Thanks Kenny and thanks to your mom too for giving me permission to use this photo.
Running through the center of town in Manistee is a beautiful river with boat slips and a boardwalk. This was taken under one of the bridges. I’ll be adding google links to all of the Manistee locations next week. And… Grand Rapids, Ada, and Lowell photos are coming soon.
This is a typical sight in the summer when you get a little inland throughout northern Michigan. I just had to take this picture of freshly baled hay.
There’s a nice little place for sailboat rides, it launches into this beautiful scene. There’s a little park here too.
First thing I noticed when I pulled into the parking lot at Oval Beach in Saugatuck was this incredible Lamborghini. The owner, a prominent surgeon in Traverse City, was relaxing nearby and I chit chatted with him a bit about the car. It is a one of a kind, custom made in Italy.
