Red Lighthouse
Can’t wait to get out on a boat this summer.

Today was the first day this year that really, really felt like we are going to have a summer, yes! I had to dig up a shot that I took last year in Muskegon while on a sailboat with good friends Jon and Peggy.

Don’t you love how all the red football jerseys match the lighthouse? I’m sure that’s exactly what the football players were thinking when they were hanging out there. They probably had a convo to the effect of, “hey man, did you notice how pretty our jersey’s look with this lighthouse?” “yeah dude, I was thinking the same thing, what a perfect shade of red.” Okay, I know, it’s only in my head that these things happen.

I love the shoreline of Lake Michigan in the winter.

Time to cuddle up by the nice warm fireplace after having an adventure outside in the snow. I took this along the shoreline in Muskegon when I was on a little Michigan adventure.

Lake Michigan Storm
I was looking for shots that are not winter related to post this week and ran across this one. It was a storm that rolled in FAST over Lake Michigan. There are more that I took this day on my Manistee link on the right.

Muskegon Lighthouse
Here’s another popular location in Muskegon. This time of year it is desolate in an awe inspiring way. Here’s a link to some more information about these lighthouses, with directions to get there.

Grand Haven Lighthouse
Typically when I think of lighthouses, it’s in the summer. This weekend, I went out to Grand Haven and shot this in all its icy glory. The lighthouse is in the Grand Haven State Park.

This was taken along the shoreline of Lake Michigan, north of the campground in Manistee. Could you be stressed out while being surrounded by this? Not me!

This huge propeller is located near the pier in Manistee’s Douglas Park, you can read more about the park and get a google map link to it at my entry from July 17. Just another reason why I love this place.

Just before the big storm hit in Manistee, is was sunny on the beach and huge ominous clouds lurked ahead. See the Manistee link for what happened next.

Michigan sunsets are a spectacular show of beauty. This sunset was later in the day, at the beach in Manistee after the storm from my previous two posts.

Here’s another photo of the storm that sprouted water spouts, as it roared on shore in Manistee.
