Mid Michigan Sky

Beautiful cloudy blue sky in Michigan by Ann Teliczan
After a long cold winter, it’s so great to see the sun and beautiful Michigan Sky. I took this photo driving through the mid-Michigan countryside. I will definitely be taking this route next time I go up north. Although I drove for 3 hours, it went by fast because the scenery was so stunningly gorgeous. Way nicer than the highway!

Another Mid Michigan Farm

HDR Photo of old farm in middle Michigan
I drove up to Syncronicity in Glen Arbor today to drop of my creative work for the summer season (you can see that here.) Typically when I go on a trip, I take the most direct route home on the highway because I am notorious for getting lost.  I took the back roads and boy are you all in for a treat. I got some great shots of Mid-Michigan farmland. In one of my coming posts I’ll give you some ideas for a beautiful drive.

Unusual Sculpture

Water Sculture at Frederik Meijer Gardens
I never get tired of the Frederik Meijer Gardens, as I’m sure you can tell if you look at my blog long enough! This is a sculture that you can walk inside and once there, it has water flowing through a steel link screen. It makes you feel kind of off balance when you look at it.

Sucking Up Spring

Butterfly sucking up nectar
I was showing my butterfly photos to my friend Lisa and as soon as she say this one she said, “Look, he’s just sucking up spring!” If you look closely, you can see the butterfly is drinking nectar from the flower below it.

What the Duck? Why you Shouldn’t Ignore Animal Noises in Your Walls!!!

If you’re curious about the “What the Duck” post, you can click here to see it. I moved this page off my main site because after thinking about it, I decided it could be disturbing and want to keep my blog positive. A few people have asked me where I got the photo, it’s real… this was in my basement.

Flowers of Spring

Spring Flowers
Spring has sprung and the proof is in the flowers and warm sunny days we’ve been having. I’m soooo looking forward to the coming days when I can wake up in the morning, walk outside and feel the warm ground under my bare feet.

Awesome Butterfly

Butterfly sitting on a green leaf
When I went to the Butterfly exhibit at Frederik Meijer Gardens, it made me think of how wonderful children are and how important it is to take them to events like this. The children were absolutely delighted with the butterflies and it was as much fun watching their responses to all the awesome butterflies as it was to see the main attraction.

Big Butterfly
What kind of a Michigan blog would I have if I neglected to cover the Butterflies are Blooming exhibit at the Frederik Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids? This week you’ll be seeing more butterfly pics that I took here.

Feeding Time for the Horses

It\'s feeding time
The sky was so beautiful I had to go out and play with my camera. After patiently (and curiously) waiting for me to complete my picture taking, this sweet and beautiful horse was rewarded with a nice hay din-din.

Glamour Puss in Franklin MI
The first thing I noticed when I visited Glamour Puss was the unique clothing and accessories. The second  was the steady stream of women coming in to have their eyebrows shaped. The third was how in shape the owner, Amy, is. When I talked to Amy about all of this she told me that she is the “Makeup Queen” and known for her talents as a makeup artist and shaping eyebrows. I believe her. If you’re looking for a comfy, special and unique place where there’s finds that will set you apart, check this place out. Amy doesn’t have a website link, but here’s the phone number if you want to learn more (248) 882-7029 and here’s a google map link to the address at 32751 Franklin Rd, Franklin Village, MI 48025.
