Here’s the crowd at Snoop Dog’s concert at Rothbury, I don’t know how many people were here, but it was a lot. I can’t say enough good things about Rothbury, even though there is a big crowd, they are managing it very, very well. I’ll be posting lots more photos of Rothbury but it’s late so nighty night I’ll show you some more tomorrow. If you are thinking of going there, it’s not too late there’s plenty more going on Saturday and Sunday. Here’s a link to the Rothbury website.
What a performance! Snoop is quite an entertainer and the crowd went WILD when he hit the stage.
The schizzle was with the fizzle at Rothbury today. Here’s Snoop Dog just before he hit the stage and blew the house down.
After a couple of hours of driving through beautiful Michigan farmland, I happened upon Midland for the first time. I just LOVE this place, even their courthouse is beautiful! This is a huge park that is in the center of town with a big farmer’s market when you enter the park. See that huge bridge in the background? It’s part of a bike path that spans miles.
Sometimes northern Michigan reminds me of when I was a little girl living in Washington state. I took this picture during one of those times. I could hear the rustling of the trees as the wind was blowing, it smelled like spring and I felt dwarfed by this wall of trees.
As a yoga lover, I’ve always been fascinated with lotus flowers. This year I finally built a lotus bog and here’s my the first bloom.
By the way, thanks everyone who came out to see me at the Reed’s Lake Fine Art Show today in East Grand Rapids. It was a great show and I was honored to be included with all the wonderful artists there.
I thought I’d stop by Oval Beach on the way to the Saugatuck Waterfont Film Festival and saw this weather front blowing in over Lake Michigan. Even though it started raining, I still had a great time, always do in Saugatuck.
Rachle Finan of the Super Happy Funtime Burlesque performed a fire dance tonight at the Forest Hills Fine Arts Center Avenue for the Arts event. I’d never seen a fire dance before, it was really interesting, especially with Rachle. She has a lot of energy and enthusiasm… my son calls her “Sexy Pochahontas.”
Doesn’t he look like he thinks he’s the king of the world? This beauty of a peacock was running around at Apols. They have an awesome selection of water gardening supplies there. The best around.
If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile you know by now that I have a thingy about Michigan’s drama clouds and Leslie Tassel Park so imagine my joy when I happened on this scene at Leslie Tassel Park in Cascade today.
