Leland, Michigan is also known as “Fishtown” around here. I suspect that the Leelanau Peninsula is one of the best kept secrets in the world and Leland is another of the reasons why. If you visit Leland, check out the Bluebird Restaurant or the Cove (yumbo!)
Here we go! It’s Memorial Day weekend and the smart folks are heading north. I was up in Petoskey a couple of weeks ago and took this photo at the Perry Hotel, a local landmark. The place is loaded with history and first class all the way. I loved it.
I had a hard time choosing photos of Naya, so I decided to put this second one up tonight. This is the bar area, a very fun, hip and comfortable spot to be in. After taking this I found out my friend Sandi was here at the same time and I was so into taking the photo, I didn’t even see her.
From the moment you see the exterior signs of Naya, it’s obvious this is a uniquely special place. Naya’s big city atmosphere, delicious menu and extensive offering of fine wines makes it the kind of place you want to spend a lot of time and money. They are located at 1144 East Paris in Grand Rapids.
