Ruth’s Garden

What is this flower?

What is this flower?

My friend Ruth sure knows how to garden! I was over at her house this summer and took this… any idea what it is?

Mmmmm… It Reminds Me Of Washington

Spring in the Leelanau Penninsula

Spring in the Leelanau Penninsula

For a short time I lived in Washington State when I was a little girl. Other than the rain every day, I remember seeing beautiful rows of trees like this. I was traveling up north on a windy, windy spring day and saw these trees with rows of fruit trees beyond them, just starting to blossom. It doesn’t matter what time of year it is there, it’s always beautiful.

Grand Delight at the Grand Gallery in Ada

This is just one of the siz sunny rooms filled with art.

This is just one of the six sunny rooms filled with fine art.

The first time I walked into the Grand Gallery five years ago, I knew this was a special place. I was there with my shop-till-you-drop French sister-in-law who now requests a visit there every time she’s back in town. The Grand Gallery has quite a collection of fine art, and also very affordable unique hand made items that are perfect for gift giving. For those of you interested in my creative work, I was recently added as an artist at the Grand Gallery and my work is on exhibit, it’s not pictured in this photo, so I guess you’ll just have to stop by to see it.

Seagulls in Manistee

Seagulls in Manistee

These little seagulls were just as happy as could be soaking up the sun along the waterfront in Manistee.
