Winter Shadow

Snow Shadows
All winter long I’ve been waiting for the right moment to catch the sun shining through the trees, casting long winter shadows on the glittering snow. This weekend I finally got it, I think this is one of my favorite winter shots.

  1. a dazzling picture. Love the texture of the interlacing bare branches and that wan sunlight circling through the top center (or trying to). The silver grey light is exquisite, and what a great contrast having that dark red swath in the middle background. Congratulations on capturing this!
