Never been to Michigan? Here’s why visitors love us:

Here’s a great place to visit. The Manistee North Pierhead Lighthouse is nestled in beautiful Douglas Park at the intersection of Cherry and First Streets. The park is county owned and has free admission. Visitors can enjoy the volleyball courts, boardwalks, picnic area with grills, sugar sand beaches, playgrounds and of course, beautiful sunsets.
The only thing I would change on your Top Ten is:

Love all the Manistee pixs. It is great to be able to see “home” from where I live. I grew up in Manistee now live in the Atlanta area. People in Georgia don’t know what lakes can be! Thanks for the veiw!

The Manistee North Pier lighthouse is not located at Douglas Park. There is a lighthouse, actually two, one at “stub pier”, just to the left of your photo of the anchor, and the other at the end of the breakwater at Douglas Park. The North Pier Lighthouse is located at Fifth Avenue Beach.
By the way, some local folks are soliciting some funds to “spruce up” the Fifth Avenue Beach area (across the street from the Coast Guard station). The plan is to repair/remodel the shelter house, playground equipment, etc.

it looks like the water is acutally sand in this one because of the lighting. I like the feeling you get from it. Like that man could jump off and just walk back on the sand, but when you look close its really water.
