The Saugatuck and Douglas area is filled with awesome art galleries. My personal favorite is the Timmel Collection. The gallery was founded by Joel Timmel who still runs it along with the gallery director, Rocky Kruithoff. It exhibits an eclectic collection of unique art, including my fine art.
At the side/back of the gallery is a fenced in parklike area that features beautiful and unique garden sculptures, fountains and other art for the yard. I love, love, LOVE this place. It’s a teeny bit hard to find though, follow my Google link and then when you get there, look for this park on Butler Street on the Village Green. There’s a white church at the back of the park, and just to the left of the church you’ll see the gallery. Here’s a picture of the gallery, peeking past a sculpture in the little park I’m talking about. The gallery is open every day from 10AM – 5PM April – November, during the winter, it is open Saturday & Sunday noon – 5PM.
